Vacuum Pump Systems
Vacuum pumps are used extensively by air conditioning and refrigeration engineers to remove air and non condensible's, such as water from a system. It is important that these compounds are removed from the system because excess air and non condensible compounds in a system can cause the system itself to run extremely inefficiently and corrode internal parts of the system much more quickly.
In short, the main job of a vacuum pum system is to remove air, water and other contaminants from inside of a system.
There are four main types of industrial vacuum pump systems;
-
Rotary Vane
-
Reciprocating
-
Dry Claw
-
Liquid Ring.

There are a number of benefits to having a vacuum pump system installed on any industrial system. VPS are primarily installed to ensure that moisture is completely sucked out of saturated materials. VPS are used in industries such as paper making, food processing, steam turbine power and chemical manufacturing as well as the medical field and pharmaceutical production. In each of the applications listed there is a necessity for an efficient vacuum pump system to ensure that moisture is pulled from the production system and materials produced are untainted by moisture and saturation.
The primary job of a vacuum pump system is to "suck", and to do it well.

On a typical air conditioning system, for example, you’ll see a vacuum pump connected to a manifold across the high and low pressure side of the system.
